Shape Up: Fall Workout Plan

WRITTEN BY  Michelle Foster- 31 August 2012

With swimsuit season quickly coming to an end, it's time to create a new healthy routine for Fall.

After spending all spring getting ready for bikini season, we too often let our workout sessions dwindle to nothing once those days of summer are over. But this year will be different!

September is an awesome time to create a new health plan. With everyone going back to school and work, healthy routines are easy to create and stick too. Don't let those jackets and sweaters make you feel like skipping a workout won't matter. Exercising isn't only for looking great but also for feeling healthy; and feeling healthy shouldn't only take place during certain seasons. Feeling healthy and strong should be all year round! You never know, you might just be slipping off to a tropical vacation in the Fall or Winter and you wouldn't want to be feeling blah or unhappy sitting on that beach!

Tips on how to create a Healthy Fall Routine:

  • Join a gym: With shorter days of sunlight coming up and wet weather, it's a good idea to join a gym so you won't have any excuses not to exercise.
  • Join a fitness class: It could be the newest trend Zumba, Pilates or even a salsa class. Anything to keep your body moving.
  • Set a goal: Having a goal will keep you motivated through the season. Keep track of your progress and challenge yourself often.
  • Incorporate Fall/Winter vegetables into your diet: Broccoli, zucchini, califlower and pumpkin, to name a few!
  • Supplements & Vitamins: With less time outside, taking a daily Vitamin D is a good idea. Also, as we get into cold & flu season, don't forget to protect your immune system; check out our Sunkist Vitamin C, Echinacea, and daily Multi-Vitamin. If you do happen to catch a cold, try Cold-A-Tak to get you back on track and in the gym faster.

Do you have a new diet or fitness goal for the Fall season? We would love to hear about it in the comments below or on our Facebook page.

Vitamins for Kids!

WRITTEN BY  Ana Patrícia- 29 August 2012

With school starting, your kids’ nutrition is even more important!

Keep them focused and fit with multivitamins!

It’s that time of the year again: school supply shopping, school and, not far behind, the chilly weather. Personally, I’m excited for the cooler breezes and I wish I were school supply shopping as well!

While you are out shopping for all the pens, pencils, coloured pencils, papers, notebooks, scissors, glue, crayons, etc., add vitamins to that list! Good nutrition is extremely important for your growing brood. In fact, children’s multivitamins should very well be at the top of your list!

We all know how picky kids can be with their food. Practically every parent will, at some point in their parenting career, have a difficult time feeding their children nutritious and complete meals. With multivitamins, you can fill in the gaps and make sure your kids are getting all the vital nutrients like calcium, iron and copper that will keep them focused and functioning happily at school!

Check out our delicious Children’s Chewable Multivitamins with Minerals!

They come in three flavours your kids are sure to love: strawberry, orange and berry! And they contain no artificial colours, flavours or aspartame.

So happy school supply shopping everyone! Remember to put your children’s health at the top of the list with multivitamins!
