Get the scoop on coffee consumption and your health.

It's Monday and we're almost positive that the majority of you reading this have reached for at least one cup of coffee today. And who can blame you! Certainly not me. And, according to the below infographic, Pouring in Your Cup, you and I are not alone.

Some of my favourite facts from below are:

  • From age 18 to 64, a typical employee who works full time will drink 47, 840 cups of coffee throughout their career. That's a lot of caffeine!
  • 24 minutes of a work day are spent making, offering and drinking hot drinks, such as coffee.

Woohoo! Coffee's Good For You!

Turns out  there may be benefits to drinking coffee other than keeping you awake!

Good Monday morning, everyone! Excellent news this morning for all you coffee drinkers out there: there are health benefits sitting right in front of you in your favourite cup of joe! Aside from helping you keep your eyes open during the early morning hours of your workday, some benefits include: lower risk of depression in women; lower risk of prostate cancer in men; possible protection against Type 2 diabetes; and more. It could even be making you a better spell-checker!

Mmm, the smell of good news...and good coffee!

But remember! Drink in moderation to avoid health issues and caffeine addiction.
