Krill Oil: A Superior Source of Omega3 Fatty Acids!

Now available wherever Webber Naturals products are sold!

RoyalRed Omega-3 Krill Oil contains 100% krill oil derived from Antarctic krill and is a good source of essential omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Eating fish, like salmon, or taking fish oil supplements are recommended to increase dietary sources of the healthy omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA because of their health benefits on the cardiovascular system, cognitive function, and overall health.

Krill oil is unique because it contains naturally occurring antioxidant nutrients, vitamin A, vitamin E, and astaxanthin, a red-orange pigment found in aquatic animals that can quench free radicals and protect the cell membrane. Krill oil is also unique because krill’s phospholipid-bound omega -3s can pass through the intestinal wall more easily, making the omega-3s more bioavailable and incorporating them into our cell membranes better.

RoyalRed Omega-3 Krill Oil from Webber Naturals is guaranteed to contain consistently fresh, stable, high quality oil that is harvested in a sustainable manner under the guidelines of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR). Krill oil softgels are small in size — ideal for those who find regular fish oil capsules difficult to swallow.

Tasty Tuesday: Popcorn!

WRITTEN BY  Ana Patrícia- 05 March 2013

Popcorn time with Webber Naturals!

Add some pizzazz to your movie night snack with this Tasty Tuesday tip of the week!

What is the most popular snack to buy or make when you are watching a movie? Popcorn! When you go to the cinema, the smell of popcorn is everywhere. Open those doors and you are most likely walking into a cloud of popcorn aroma that make a cartoon trail to the snack bar! Look on the floor and you will probably see pieces of the buttery corn treats that have been dropped on the way to the different screening rooms.

At home, although probably less messy (seeing as we would have to clean it up ourselves), popcorn is a quick and easy go to for a snack. Who hasn't heard the unmistakable popping from the microwave or stove as the buttery, salty smell begins to fill the kitchen?!

As delightful as this snack is, sometimes, I'm not in the mood for the butter-soaked movie house option or the salty (20% or more of your daily sodium!), microwavable packets. On top of the sodium, there's also those pesky trans fats and mystery preservatives! So what's our alternative without sacrificing this classic movie snack? It's time to turn to the blank canvas of fresh air-popped popcorn! Did you know that plain air-popped popcorn is full of antioxidants and three cups contains as much fibre as a cup of brown rice?! It may be dull and tasteless alone but it gives you the creative kitchen freedom to make your very own flavoured popcorn! And there's no need to limit yourself to butter!

Enjoy!

Eat Clean & Start 2013 Healthy!

WRITTEN BY  Ana Patrícia- 02 January 2013

Feel like you over indulged towards the end of 2012?

Start 2013 healthy and clean up your diet!

Can you believe it's a new year? If there was ever anytime to start fresh, this would be it. It's a new year, a new month, and basically, a new week... well it's mid-week, but the other 'news' I just mentioned definitely outweigh that last minor detail! I've decided that this is the year I clean up my eating. The end of 2012 saw many parties and visiting relatives, routines tossed aside, and with all that, unhealthy eating habits. It's time to start 2013 the right way: healthy and happy.

If you've eaten too much sweet and fatty foods over the past two weeks, a detox is a great way to start the new year. You'll be happy to know that I'm not talking about a juice detox. In my internet searchings for inspiration and exciting new content, I came across SHAPE Magazine's 7-Day Clean Eating Challenge.

So what does it mean to clean up your diet? This challenge is all about clean eating and healthy habits; making the right choices in the kitchen and at meal times. For example, using fresh ingredients and making things at home from scratch; choosing blueberries and oats for breakfast instead of packaged oatmeal. Not everyone can stick to a strict meal plan that consists of liquid! The editors over at SHAPE decided to come up with something new and definitely, much more achievable!

Check out their 7-Day Non-Juice Detox and challenge yourself to eat clean!
