Advanced Info
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is the most common gastrointestinal disorder seen by physicians. Particularly common in women, individuals with IBS may experience symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, gas, constipation, and/or diarrhea. Probiotic IBS Support from Webber Naturals is a unique source of probiotics designed to restore and maintain a healthy gastrointestinal microbiota, and has been proven to reduce the symptoms of IBS.
This shelf-stable probiotic blend contains proprietary strains of Lactobacillus rhamnosus R0011 and Lactobacillus helveticus R0052, which have been used successfully for over 15 years by people with IBS, and to reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrheas. The blend also contains Bacillus subtilis R0179 and Enterococcus faecium R0026 to further promote a favourable gut flora and reduce the duration of diarrhea in people with IBS.
Each vegetarian capsule is guaranteed to provide 7 billion colony forming units (cfus) at expiry date. All strains have been well identified and characterized through genomic sequencing, while both lactobacillus species have been deposited at the Pasteur Institute’s National Collection of Microorganisms Cultures (CNCM). The lactobacilli strains are backed by 26 clinical studies and all four probiotic strains have been confirmed for safety and good tolerance.
