Almost all men over the age of 50 will experience some degree of prostate enlargement or BPH caused by changes in testosterone levels. Prostate enlargement can obstruct urine flow, make it hard to fully empty the bladder, and lead to symptoms such as frequent urination, excessive nighttime urination, a strong urge but difficulty starting to urinate, and frequent discomfort (dysuria).
