High Protein Berry Almond Smoothie Recipe

Smoothies are a great addition to your breakfast options. Whatever your personal preferences, dietary restrictions, and ingredients you’ve got in the fridge or cupboard, you can create a delicious smoothie. This classic berry smoothie adds ground flaxseed and almond butter for a boost in healthy fats and protein.


  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup skim or 1% milk (or soy, almond or coconut milk)
  • 1/3 cup yogurt
  • 1/3 banana
  • 1/3 – ½ cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 tbsp of ground flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (optional)


  1. Add water, milk, yogurt, banana, frozen berries, ground flaxseed, and almond butter (optional) to a blender.
  2. Blend and enjoy!
