Medicinal Ingredients

Each capsule contains:
Lactase (Aspergillus oryzae) (whole) 250 mg (9000 FCC* ALU**)
*FCC: Food Chemical Codex; **ALU: Acid Lactase Unit

Non-Medicinal Ingredients

Microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin capsule (gelatin [bovine], purified water), vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).

Dosage

Recommended dosage (adults): 1–2 capsules immediately before consuming dairy products or any food containing lactose.
For high lactose in the food or for severe lactose intolerance, you may need 2 capsules at a time, but no more than 2.
Lactase enzyme must be taken each time you eat a lactose containing food. It only works on the food just eaten.
Lactase enzyme does not stay in the body and must be taken at each meal or with snacks containing dairy products.

Recommended Purpose

  • Helps treat or prevent symptoms of lactose intolerance including bloating, gas, flatulence, pain, cramping, and diarrhea. 
  • To assist in the digestion of lactose present in milk products (e.g., dairy foods, milk).

Caution

If symptoms persist or worsen, discontinue use and consult a physician. Consult a physician prior to use if you have diabetes. Headaches, heartburn, bloating, and hypersensitivity (e.g., allergy) have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use. Keep out of reach of children.
